Jazz in the Churchyard: Mardi Gras
In conjunction with the St. Michael’s Youth Pancake Supper, we will have one final festal celebration before the beginning of the Lenten Fast, giving us a foretaste of the joy on Easter Sunday morning, by employing Kyle Lane’s Dixie Band Ensemble to play an array of festive, traditional Dixieland music.

A Holy Lent: The Sacred Minimalists
While Arvo Pärt has become a household name for many, people may be less familiar with other composers who belong to the school of composition known as “sacred minimalism.”
Characterized by beautiful, chant-like, meditative works, this extraordinary program will provide a perfect forum for spiritual contemplation during this most holy time of the year. It will also take advantage of free marketing provided by Joni McLeod. It will be preceded by a 20 minute lecture on sacred minimalism, and followed by a wine reception.
