Something you can do

Back in 1991, it became fashionable to “care” about AIDS.  But frankly it was enough just to seem like you cared.  If you were famous and you wore that ubiquitous red ribbon on awards shows and talk shows and at premieres, you were one of the “good guys.”

Now, you can do something that will have a real impact on treating and preventing AIDS right in your community.  More than 3,000 restaurants across the United States donate a portion of their proceeds from one specially designated day — the Dining Out for Life day — to the licensed AIDS service agency in their city.  Annually, upwards of $4 million dollars is raised to support HIV/AIDS service organizations throughout North America, and except for an administrative fee of $1,150, all money raised in a given city stays in that city.

And you don’t even have to wear the ribbon!

The 2017 Dining Out for Life day is THIS COMING THURSDAY, APRIL 27th.

DINE OUT, FIGHT AIDS
